Harvesting the Heights

Michelle Hong, Andrew Tsui and Pol Fabrega, the team behind Rooftop Republic, run regular workshops in English and Cantonese on rooftops around town. Through dynamic and hands-on workshops, city dwellers, children, adults, and company employees alike learn methods and tips on how to grow their own food at home, and how best to cook it as part of a nutritious and balanced diet. More than just practical, Rooftop Republic aims to reconnect urban dwellers with their neighbouring farmers, develop the skills and knowledge needed to build sustainable and local food systems and provide a platform for participants to question and discuss food-related topics, production and market players, to food waste and safety.
